Harry Potter – A thank you | Poem

As someone who has spent her entire childhood in the realm of the fictitious world of Harry Potter, roaming the streets of London, thanks to J.K Rowling’s writing and keenly hoping for my letter to Hogwarts – here’s a new poem on Harry Potter!

Hear the fear in your voice,
rise up above the noise.
Love? The perfect choice,
of sauve and a polished poise.

Lord Voldemort’s slythering tongue
said less but highly stung.
Severus Snape that once we feared,
ended up the best and dear.

Ronald Weasley, the friend of friends
taught us a friendship that never ends.
Hermione Granger’s knowledge and wisdom
made us value books –and some.

Fred and George were the comic relief,
the calm and funky, joy and ease.
Harry’s bravery knew no bounds,
in the darkest nights or things that hound.

Serious Black was the nurturing gem,
paved the path of survival for them.
He shifted shape to suit his style,
always up to protect and make your heart smile.

Thanks miss Rowling for the books to keep,
I re-read them and sometimes weep.
These happy tears and these memories
always a part of my treasury.

Hope you like the poem!
See you next time!

Cheers,
Srish. xx

  1. Srishti, I am also ardent fan of Harry Potter. Your poem said it all – telling about each character so rightly in one line.
